What is included in the Main Zip?

The Main Zip contains all samples from the pack in Wav 24bit 44.1 Khz Format + Rex 2 files of any loop material.  Where applicable it also includes soft sampler patches For Kontakt, Halion, Exs24, Nnxt, and Sfz formats.

 What DAW’s does the Main Zip cater for?

Cubase/Logic/Reason/Reaper/Ableton/Fruity Loops/Pro Tools and more.

What are the advantages of buying the Main Zip over the individual formats?

If you use multi platforms for creating your productions the zip main pack is your best option as the file formats will suit all the main music making software packages.

What are Apple Loops?

Apple Loops are AIF files for Logic or Garageband that contain special encrypted information called tags that allow the loops to be played back at the correct tempo and pitch to follow your production. The tags  also include descriptive information that makes it easier to search in Logic/Garageband’s loop browser by type of instrument/key/and mood (Apple Packs also contain Rex 2 files which can be loaded into Exs24 or Logic)

 What DAW’s are Apple Loops compatible with?

What is an Ableton Live Pack and what’s included?

The Ableton Live Packs contain all the content from the sample pack in WAV format. The loops are pre-warped so they play correctly in your productions. Where the sample pack contain single sounds or instrument samples Ableton Sampler Instrument presets are also included.

What is a Reason Refill and what’s included?

Refills contain all the samples from the pack and include any patches exclusively for Reason Instruments such as NNXT, Kong etc . The file format is a .rfl file which only works in Reason but has the advantage of being compressed so the content is considerably smaller than if you chose the zip main. This is great if hard drive space is an issue.

If I buy either the Apple Loops/Ableton Live Pack or Reason Refill am I missing out on any content, e.g loops?

Apple Loops, Ableton Live, and Refill packs contain ALL the same raw sample content from the .zip main pack, so you are not missing any content. The content is just sculpted to make it easier to use in each specific DAW.

What are sampler patches?

Sampler patches are files that will pre-load your chosen soft sampler with sounds from the sample packs – enabling you to play them via a controller keyboard. They include things like drum kits, bass sounds, pads and lead synth instruments.

How do I install them?

Each soft sampler has it’s own way of loading sampler patches. Please refer to the directions below for each sampler.

HALION

Copy The Entire Loopmasters sample pack folder to your hard drive ensuring that all folder structure remains intact. When Loading Halion Patches you may need to locate the samples. This is simply done by double clicking the .fxp file (Halion Patch) within the Halion Browser window, and when prompted clicking on the automatic or manual search button. Then, locate the root folder of  the pack or CD you have purchased.  Halion will then find the samples for the patch.

It is advisable to then resave the patch so you will not have to repeat this procedure.

EXS24

Copy the Folders named “EXS24” and “Sounds And Fx” from the sample pack to your “Sampler Instruments” folder for Logic. This folder is located:   username/Library/Application Support/Logic/Sampler Instruments.  The next time you Load EXS24 the patches will be seen in the EXS24 browser window.

APPLE LOOPS

Drag and Drop the Apple Loops folder onto the Loop Browser Window Within Logic or Garageband

NN-XT

Copy the entire Loopmasters sample pack folder to your hard drive, ensuring that all folder structure remains intact. Click on the “load patch” tab on the NNXT instrument and use Reason’s Browser to locate the NNXT folder within the sample pack and load your desired patch.

KONTAKT

Copy The Entire Loopmasters sample pack folder to your hard drive, ensuring that all folder structure remains intact. Use Kontakt’s Browser to locate the KONTAKT folder within the Sample Pack and load desired patch.

REASON 4 REFILL

Copy the .rfl file to the Reason installation folder on your hard drive. Use Reason’s Browser to load instruments or effects from the Loopmasters refill.

ABLETON LIVE  PACK

Copy the .alp file to your desktop.  Double click the file and live will boot up and ask where you would like to install the project folder.  If you wish to use any instrument presets that are contained in the sample pack in other projects, then use Live’s Browser to locate the project folder, right click over it and select MANAGE PROJECT.  Then on the right hand side of the screen select EXPORT. The presets and sounds should now be located in your Ableton Library in the Sampler Instruments folder.

What if I buy packs and then switch to another DAW / format?

If you switch platforms and require a change, we will change the format in your user downloads area  if necessary
