Introducing Singomakers Label to Loopmasters
We are very proud to announce Singomakers as the newest member of the Loopmasters family.
Singomakers are a Russian based Sound design Label bringing you only the freshest sounds in the industry in a huge variety of Genres and formats ready for your DAW. The team is made up of producers and engineers from across the Globe bringing you only the very best up to date sounds and samples of professional quality. Singomakers name is derived from “Technological Singularity” – bringing the Technical Future and people together in Music.
We caught up with Re-Zone, the head of Singomakers to find out more about the ethos behind the label, the contributing Producers and what sets Singomakers aside from the rest.
Give us a little background on your label and how it started?
Singomakers label started in 2012. After some good experience of working with Loopmasters, I decided to start my own imprint for sample packs. For 3 year I have been a head of my own record label (Rezone Records with sub-labels Cyber Donkey, Beardy Bird). Since the launch of Rezone Records we collected a lot of great connections with Top Artists from all over the world, and now we are using it to get interesting sample packs from our artists. Combining this experience with my own 10 year musical career as a producer having releases on such labels like Toolroom, SKINT, BugEyed, Black Hole, Juicy Music and more, we are working hard to get some good results with our brand new imprint.
Do you focus on a specific style?
We have a very big team of producers from all over the world; all of them are unique in their own style, so we are a multi-style label.
Some people feel that sample packs are “cheating”. What are your thoughts on this as a sample label?
Well, if people just import and use samples without any creativity – then it’s not a cheating – it’s just not very creative in my opinion. I know that all Top producers use samples with lots of creativity, applying different effects, cutting and moving parts of loops, combine different samples together, or just use them to get some amazing hooks or like a main idea, inspiration. We have a lot of such examples of tracks which reached # 1 positions in different Charts! So, my answer is “no”. Samples are not cheating; it’s a push for your creativity!
What type of producers do you see using your samples?
Thomas Gold (Axtone, Spinnin), My Digital Enemy (SKINT, Toolroom) High Rankin (mau5trap, Global Underground, Wall Records), Riva Star, Adam White (Perfecto), Lenny D, Thomas Penton, Incognet, Yves Eaux, J-Soul and of course all those budding producers out there ;-)
With the amount of sample labels launching these days what makes Singomakers special?
We are working with top producers from all over the world who use great hardware studio equipment, but the main thing is our passion to the music! We love what we do! Singomakers don’t focus on “what’s popular right now”…. we are trying to create unique sounds that will be popular soon. When my friend asked me the same question as you, my answer to him was simple – “We don’t make samples, we make the future of music”.
What equipment do you use to create your samples? Are they done in house or do you work with producers from all over?
We use a lot of top notch hardware and software for our packs. Our favorites are Avalon VT 747, Manley Massive Passive Stereo Tube EQ and UAD-2 Duo with full bunch of perfect plugins.
Also we use such hardware synths like Moog Voyager, Virus TI, Korg MS2000b , Korg R3 and some others.
How do you think modern software compares to original Hardware?
Modern software is amazing. Synths now sound extremely phat, compressors and Eqs are also awesome. It’s perfect! That’s true. But… you know, analog equipment is not perfect, and sometimes exactly this “unperfectness” makes your track unique and magical.
What formats are your packs available in or will be available in?
Wavs, Ableton Packs, Apple loops, Reason refills, Patches for most popular software synthesizers, REX2 Files, One Shots, Sampler Patches.
What quality checks do you undergo before you know a sample pack is ready for release on your label?
The best check is when I ask myself “Would I buy this pack myself?”, if my answer is yes – then packs is ready for release :)
What type of packs do you have in the pipeline?
Coming up are a really big number of packs, here is a “small“ part of our list:
